Our Little Village | Dixon

Winter term care begins on Monday, January 10th

Our Little Village (OLV), administered by OSU’s Family Resource Center, is short-term reservable child care for OSU students and employees. Child care is available for children ages 5 months through 12 years and will adhere to our COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols. During this time, OLV child care is restricted to cohort care (same children in the same room on the same days) in order to minimize risk of exposure. Due to the cohort care restriction, you are only able to sign up for one cohort per child for the term and we encourage you to choose the same day and time for each child in your family (for example, MW pm cohorts at Dixon for all of your children). Our COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols are informed by the Early Learning Division's Child Care Provider COVID-19 Requirements and Recommendations.

  • Prior to your child's first day of care, please read the OLV Parent Rules
  • Your child's temperature will be checked every day at drop-off and you will be asked health screening questions. Any child that fails the health screening will not be allowed into the center. For more information about the health screening, click here.
  • Parents will remain on the OSU main campus, as much as possible, while their child(ren) are being cared for at OLV.  If a parent must return home to complete their work that is currently acceptable.  The intent of OLV is to provide student and employee parents time to complete work and school tasks associated with their roles at OSU.
  • Extra COVID-19 precautions:
    • Staff will be wearing masks at all times, regardless of vaccination status, and will be subject to the same health screening as children
    • Children age 5 and older will be required to wear a mask while in care
    • Constant hand washing, cleaning and sanitizing
    • Staff have been trained on COVID-19 specific health and safety protocols
    • All OLV employees are required to follow OSU's COVID-19 Immunization Requirements
